i'm out of claritin-d!

• i went to the supermarket for more claritin-d.  the stupid-market, of course, doesnt sell that directly - i need to buy it from the pharmacy - which doesn't open until 8AM
   
• more news from newspapers on the health of their business.. i think it's going to be a race to see which ones can move fastest and take the boldest steps to embrace digital in ways that make them revenue (ads, but also classifieds, partnerships, kindle, iPhone, etc)
• joe apprendi is still busy out there!  he was a big player in falk and also on the board of klipmart.. he now runs collective media
• due to my tweaked hammy, which makes it uncomfy to do too much walking and due to this insane heat, which doesnt work well for me, i'm going to pass on todays picnic at elitch.. also, i have a few important meetings and some important deliverables that do need doing.. someone take some pictures for the old man (me)
• i read this yesterday, interesting piece on how the "younger gen" is getting too casual in interview settings
• amazon joining the fray with paypal and google checkout
• another 1,000 barrista's getting cut.. gulp.
• i watched this on a plane - eric (our eric) talks about the atlantic cover "is google making us stupid?"
• is this a dartsearch competitor?  SEM?  i've read 5 pages and am not still sure - http://www.clickable.com/
• funny jon stewart clip - i don't watch that show regularly, i probably should
  
• i'm not a big fan of the olmypics - just a political (IOC) mess.. beijing is in for a rough go at it - looks like the smog is VERY bad there and the govt is really cracking down on business, tourism, and oh yea - free speech.  this could be 800 hours of pomp and circumstance with china coming out looking like the sorta evil nation it is (this blog would never be allowed there :-)
