really out of sorts

• i'm so out of sorts and when it rains, it pours.  we're having work done in our house, so it's a complete mess.. and i mean a grade-A mess.. dusty, no floors in 1/2 the hours and they're not even done yet with the demo work.. this isn't great.  the dogs are mixed up, my family is out of town, so they get checked in during the day by a dogsitter.. but we're all just out of our comfort zone.  and yesterday, in our winning softball playoff game, i seemed to have tweaked my hammy, so now i dont even feel 100%, just to top things off
• we have noxzema in our bathroom, i love the smell and it gets your face clean like nothing else.. it's not the traditional tub, but some newer version, but same result i think.. anyway, adage has a piece on why you see the stuff much less.   what a pity.  now, if the stuff doesn't work, let the brand die, but i think it still has a place, but maybe less so among the current roster of fancy fancy sort of cleansers, etc
• mets won/yanks lost.. love that
• the latest and greatest david in the search wars - "cuil" http://www.cuil.com/.  i did the vanity search for myself, ben saitz, and while i liked the first link, a link to a nice piece rick bruner wrote about me, the rest of the links stink!  they don't even have saitz.com, which should be a slam dunk... in fact, they have 80% crappy stuff about people other than me.. i'm not looking for any instance of "saitz" - i'm looking for me ;-)  also, looking for the 2nd page took over 10 seconds and counting.. that's not gonna get it done.  i'm not the only one
• good read in the NYT yesterday about exchanges.. i read it on my blackberry while waiting for my take-out order to be finished (it was sushi)
• season premiere of mad men was good.. just such a good show, it really looks and feels like it was shot 40 years ago..
• medium busy day - but this week i'm gonna try and leave early so i can go home and hang out with the mutts, who are all alone for much of the day..
