ick
the mets blew it last night in tragic fashion.. i was eating salad and cheering at their 7-0 lead, then as it wore down over time, it was like having my skin peeled with a potato peeler.. i went to sleep in the 12th with it tied and the full knowledge that they would blow it - and true to form
some people (mostly reporters) seem to have lots of time, like this guy, who created an entire alphabet from google suggest.. check it out and you'll know what i mean. i was going to say "bloggers" have all the time in the world, but as a blogger, i know that's not the case
just got my electric bill and a 53.51% drop in electric YOY - not bad, thanks to solar. this summer was hotter than last, so we used more A/C for sure. and we had lots of work going on the house, which means all their tools and using A/C more and more b/c they were in the house. i'll take it, but really look forward to cooler weather so we can start to really kick some solar savings ass. in case i didnt already say this, if you live in CO and dont use a clothesline, you really ought to consider it. dryers use 6% of our nations electric and since it's so sunny and dry in colorado, you could do yourself and our environment a nice favor there.. i got mine at lowe's for $19. speaking of which, GE advertising in a very similar theme
just booked a 2 night excursion for the mrs and me to beaver creek - never been (driven by, of course), but never stayed the night.. looks like a nice town and we're going in late october, i imagine the leaves will be past-prime, but i'll take it.. let me start counting down the days then
also booked 2 ny trips for sept.. week of 9/8 and 9/22
i watched some of the DNC while the mets blew it. hillary looked good, clearly the campaigning took its toll on her.. she looked thinner, less tired, and just more spunky. her best line was about the RNC, when she said that bush and mccain would be both in the "twin cities" - apropos, because you can't tell them apart. not to get too political, but it was a funny line
Who am I? I used to work for DoubleClick, but as of April 2008, I work for Google. I work in the services realm and love doing so. This blog is not a voice of Google in any way, it is my own voice. This is a personal weblog. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer.
In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time…I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open mind. This weblog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point in time snapshot and manifestation of the various memes running around my brain, and as such any thoughts and opinions expressed within out-of-date posts may not the same, nor even similar, to those I may hold today.
