want to know something that, supposedly, beats paid search? retargeting. so claims fetchback. now, it's their product, so i expect them to say that, but we know retargeting is powerful stuff
detroit. oh, what to do in detroit? who to blame? any reason to blame? so GM is shutting pontiac and focusing on 4 main brands. i'll keep this short, the UAW gets lots of blame for being greedy and thinking they are entitled to high paying jobs, lucrative benefits, cushy pensions, and sticking it to "management" at every opportunity, now they own this POS company. management gets a kick in the fanny for being arrogant that people will buy whatever crap they make, missing the times, focusing on short term profits and designs, and making some frickin' shitty cars. i owned an olds in 1985 (from my dad) for a few months and it was ok, but that was the last american car i owned. when i rent cars and get an american can, i curse it every time i sit in it - they're just that bad. since my olds, i've owned a VW, an Acura, an Infiniti, a Subaru, and my current Acura - all way better.
not everyone wants yahoo to sell their search business. i don't. frankly, i think it will make them less competitive! being display only is missing part of the offering to advertisers and working across Y! and M$ will just be messy, trust me, it will.
Who am I? I used to work for DoubleClick, but as of April 2008, I work for Google. I work in the services realm and love doing so. This blog is not a voice of Google in any way, it is my own voice. This is a personal weblog. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer.
In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time…I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open mind. This weblog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point in time snapshot and manifestation of the various memes running around my brain, and as such any thoughts and opinions expressed within out-of-date posts may not the same, nor even similar, to those I may hold today.
